Beyoncé is So Couture in ‘Run The World (Girls)’
Beyoncé debuted her “Run The World (Girls)” video on American Idol last night. Now I do not watch that show unless its the auditions so I waited until this morning to catch the video and I thought the outfits used were really different and some of what sets her apart as an artist. She used about 6 high-end fashion designers for the video. She was moving in those dresses! Sooo here’s what she wore…
Warrior Princess

Golden Scales
Beyoncé is wearing a Fall 2011 Collection Gareth Pugh dress. Beyoncé said, “I love Gareth Pugh, he’s amazing. His work is so different. The dramatic shoulder pads make your waist look teeny tiny and it’s very structured and graphic and modern. I think the contrast of his garments and my personality is really cool. And I get to dress up and be whatever I want.”
She also wore Gareth Pugh Starship Enterprise boots.

In the opening dance scene, Beyoncé is wearing Norma Kamali high-waisted fringe shorts. I looked at Kamali’s website and she has some really cute designs!!! Check it out.
The regular low waist nylon/Lycra fringe shorts run for $215. You’d think they’d be more right? I’m not sure how much these high-waisted ones are.
As you can see, she is also wearing black bustier with a gold harness… Would you wear a harness out? Yea…

Here, Bey is wearing an altered Spring 2010 RTW yellow Emilio Pucci gown. It reminds me of a jazzed up maxi dress.
Her shoes are by Italian designer, Sergio Rossi. They are the $1,624 Black Embossed Leather Gladiator Borderline Boot.

When I saw Bey posing in this outfit, I hollered, “You betta werk!” This dress is from Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2011 Couture line. And do you see this runway model? She is werking this look too! Love it
Who Run The World
Beyonce filled out this Givenchy Couture Spring 2011 gown in all the right ways! It reminds me of a modern yet classic wedding dress…idk
Asymmetrical Cut
Beyoncé was hitting the stanky leg in another altered Emilio Pucci design. This dress comes from the Fall 2011 RTW collection.

I had to keep rewinding that part w/the NK Aztec jumpsuit. Lawd. Bey sh*tted on ‘em. It was a fashion orgasm. McQueen, Pucci, Givenchy, Todd Lynn, Norma Kamali, Alexander Wang, Sergio Rossi…heaven! I’ve never seen anybody work Pucci dresses like that. Doing the stanky leg + doing the kitty cat. Bey better work!
